Anand-Lahari Presentations

The Musical Fest by Anand-Lahari the cultural wing of Indian Cultural Foundation started off with a bang with the organization of a lovely musical evening by artists in the field of traditional & classical music & dance. First there was an enchanting Bharat Natyam presentation by Shivoham Group, and in the second half a mesmerizing hour-long presentation of Sufi songs by Mir Mukhtair Ali and his group.

Talk by Poojya Guruji:

Poojya Guruji in his talk said that the objective of Anand-Lahari is to encourage our traditional arts & culture by providing them a platform in a place like Mumbai. He said that Anand-Lahari name indicates a unique three-level spiritual journey too. The first level is the capacity to appreciate the classical & subtle art forms and the associated tapasya of the artists – who exude the waves Ananda drenching others in their infectious joys. Second is being an embodiment of such joys oneself, by really loving something which tickles their hearts. Such people become blessings to all with their simple, loving & infectious disposition. The final level is to awake to that Ananda which has no duality whatsoever – as their very self. This is the summum bonum of human existence, and such people exude the waves of joys ‘effortlessly’.

Birthday Celebration:

After the completion of the program, the members of Vedanta Mission felicitated Poojya Guruji on his 60th birthday. There was lovely dinner too along with cake etc.
