An idol of Durga Mata is being installed inside the giant Shiv-Linga on the Vedanta Ashram terrace – on 6th April (Saptami) 2014. She will reside inside Shivji, who alone is worshiped at the Vedanta Ashram Mandir. Vedanta Ashram being a center of Advaita Vedanta, we perceive the Shiv & Shakti as one whole. As per the principles of Sanatan Dharma she resides ‘in’ the heart of Shivji – as his power. She will be a Chir-Tapasvini Roopa – ever in meditation. She will not be disturbed by any devotees. Darshan of Mataji can be had only on the Ashtami of both the Navratras – and that also from a specially made glass window on the door.
On 6th April there will be special bhajans, aarti and bhandara. All are invited.
