On 28th Feb 2016, the Feb edition of the monthly ‘Hanuman Chalisa Satsang‘ was organized at Vedanta Ashram. The program began with lovely bhajans and congregational chanting of Hanuman Chalisa by everyone. Later Poojya Guruji Sri Swami Atmanandaji continued his discourse on the 7th chaupayi of the chalisa – विद्यावान गुनी अतिचातुर। रामकाज करिबे को आतुर।। Poojya Guruji said that this is a very nice chaupayi which he loves a lot, and he summarized what was discussed in the last two sessions, and then continued to the next verse – प्रभु चरित सुनिबे को रसिया। राम लखन सीता मन बसिया।।
He said that this 8th chaupayi reveals the sadhana to attain the above goals of being a truly knowledgeable, virtuous & a smart person – and that sadhana is Satsang. Hanumanji always loves to hear the glories & life of Bhagwan Sri Ram, and the tradition has it that where ever there is Ram-katha, an asana for Hanumanji is always kept there. He told that when Bhagwan Sri Ram was leaving for his abode, he gave an open invite to all his devotees to come to his dham, but Hanumanji politely refused and rather requested him to bless him so that he can continue to take the Ram-katha to one & all in this world, so that all are blessed with Ram-bhakti – such was the love of Hanumanji for Ram-katha.
The second line of the chaupayi tells us of a unique quality of Hanumanji, and that was his capacity to reside in the heart of those whom he respected. Goswamiji specially names Bhagwan Sri Ram, Lakshmanji and Mata Sitaji. He alone has the singular honor of being called as a ‘son’ by both Ramji and Sitaji. This is a great quality – to get a place in the heart of those whom one respects. All blessings are thereafter natural & inevitable. Capacity to enter or even touch the heart of someone is a quality everyone must aim at. There is no greater fulfillment than this, it invokes true love & respect, which are the basis of real good & lasting relationships.
After the pravachan Poojya Swamini Amitanandaji and P. Swamini Poornanandaji did aarti of Poojya Guruji on the occasion of their Sanyas Deeksha and Birthday resp. Later everyone did the aarti of Hanumanji, followed by Bhandara for all.
The Bhandara was organized to felicitate the special occasions of both the Swaminiji’s.
A five days Gita Gyana Yagna by Poojya Swamini Amitanandaji was organized at Ramkrishna Kendra, Maninagar, Amdavad from 8th to 12th Feb. The subject matter of the twin discourse series were Gita Chapter 12 and Laghu Vakya Vritti.
Before that Poojya Swaminiji conducted a two days Meditation Program at Atmajyoti Ashram, Vadodara.

On 31st Jan 2016, the last Sunday of the month, the Jan 2016 edition of Hanuman Chalisa Satsang was organized at Vedanta Ashram. Devotees started converging at the venue in the evening and the program started with lovely bhajans presented by Bhakta Mandali. Sh Sunil Kumar Ojha welcomed Poojya Guruji on the Vyasa Peetha with a garland. Then Sh Gulabchand Vyasji presented a lovely bhajan, he came after a gap of few months gap – because of a serious leg fracture in an accident. He has been instrumental to inspire all devotees to regularly come for this satsang. Then led by Poojya Guruji everyone chanted Hanuman Chalisa.
Poojya Guruji continued his deliberations on the 7th chaupayi of the chalisa namely: विद्यावान गुनी अति चातुर, राम काज करिबे को आतुर.
He said that the greatness of a person is basically in the nature of motivation, and the work per se. Revealing this aspect about Hanumanji, the celebrated author of the composition says that Hanumanji is ever enthusiastic about working for Ramji. Before the incident of jumping across the ocean, Jambavanji initially tried to motivate Hanumanji by revealing his personal qualities & greatness, but this did not motivate Hanumanji. Just when he said that your birth itself is for doing sewa of Ramji, then he got so enthused that he almost became like a mountain. Later when Ravana asked him about who he is, then also we see how Hanumanji feels great about being a sewak of Ramji rather than glorifying about his personal affiliations, ancestry or qualities.
While elaborating on the word Ati Chatur, he said that Hanumanji has been revealed as extremely smart. This chaturta is not merely in being an exemplary executive who does anything & everything given to him, but in the process he remains fully conscious & aware of his truth too. This constant awareness & connectivity with God or Self in & through our worldly activities resonates the teachings of Bhagwad Gita wherein Lord Krishna said that ‘Mam Anusmara Yudhya Cha’, and also ‘Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam’. There are many people who are great executives, they too are smart & intelligent, however the success & failures of life does effect these people. True Kushalta is in remaining equanimous under all circumstances. Such people keep learning & growing. This is the definition of Yoga – as revealed in Gita. Samattvam Yoga Uchyate.
