The April edition of the monthly Hanuman Chalisa Satsang was organized on 24th – the last Sunday of the month. As ususal the Satsang program started with lovely spirited bhajans by the Bhajan Mandali. Later when Poojya Guruji came on the Vyasa Peetha, he was welcomed by Sh Sunil Kumar Oza, and later everyone chanted Hanuman Chalisa and lead by Poojya Guruji everyone did Ram-Naam Sankirtan, and then started the main pravachan. Poojya Guruji started elaboration of the first part of the 9th chaupayi – सूक्ष्म रूप धरी सिहहि दिखावा
Poojya Guruji said that we just read two chaupayis back that Hanumanji loves to do sewa of & for Bhagwan Ram very much. This sewa dharma is great. It reveals a pure, loving & a dedicated mind. Sewa is all about being free from our own likes & dislikes, and rather doing just what our Guru or Bhagwan likes. This simple capacity requires complete freedom from our conditionings. For Sewa, the scriptures initially suggest that we start with something for which we are already inclined & love to do. This gives us a field for polishing our expertise & proficiency in that field. This expertise not only helps us do our specific work nicely but we also develop confidence in our work. Once a person becomes confident in his/her work, then slowly this confidence flows in our other fields too, and then slowly whatever such a person does, has proficiency in each & every work he does. Such a person is now fully involved. He is the role model of every sewak. They dont mind taking up any challenge, even if it is something completely new or highly challenging & delicate. This is what Hanumanji was. He is indeed a role model for all sewaks.
When Ramji was sending his people in all the four directions, he somehow had the confidence that Hanumanji will succeed, and he also gave him Sitaji’s chudamani. Now Hanumanji was near Sitaji and also had one the greatest challenge – winning over the confidence of a lady who has been decieved by someone in Sadhu’s dress. She was disappointed, despondent & dejected. Now she could not believe anyone. Hanumanji had to win the confidence of such a person. Anyone can realize how delicate the situation was, where there was no chance of failure, and we salute Hanumanji that he came out with flying colors. He first started with singing the glories of Hanumanji, and this comepletely changed Sitaji’s mindset. She was elated and asked that whoever is singing the glories of Ramji please come in front of me. He then dropped the ring sent by Ramji, this confirmed to her whoever is there has been sent by Ramji himself, and after building up the inquisitiveness & positivity, he came in front of her in a small form. The motherly nature of Sitaji, or any women in general, feels not only manifests the inherent motherly love but also becomes completely peaceful & fearless. Thereafter everyone knows how Hanumanji won over her heart & confidence. This one mission was one of the hardest and here Goswamiji salutes Hanumanji for it.
A week-long GITA GYANA YAGNA was organized at Sivananda Samskrutik Kendra, Bhubaneshwar from 6th to 12th April 2016. Sh Rajesh Kumar was the main organizer & sponsor of the program. The subject matter of the discourse series were Gita Chapter 2 and Kathopanishad 1-2.
The program was formally inaugurated by the Sivananda Ashram Mahatmas by lighting the lamp.
The Mahatmas of Sivananda Ashram highly appreciated the discourses, and have even invited Swaminiji to come & stay in their premises and have regular classes there. The devotees also turned up in good numbers.
The program concluded on 12th with a Guru Dakshina program.
On the 13th Sh Rajesh Kumar and his wife Sangeeta took Poojya Swamini Samatanandaji and also Swami Srinivasanandaji (of DLS) to a nearby Toshali Sea Resort for an outing.
While at Bhubaneshwar a Gita based Stress Management Workshop was organized at SIDBI Office for its officers & staff by Poojya Swamini Samatanandaji – on 7th April evening. The program was organized in their Conference Hall.
P. Swaminiji started by highlighting the prevalence of the problem of Stress all over. This not only hampers health but also work efficiency, relationships, sleep etc. It has become a modern day epidemic, and needs to be taken seriously. She revealed what exactly is stress problem. It was a continuous built-up of Stress with no possibility of its release. As long as stress gets an opportunity to get released so long there is no problem, in fact it is good for overall health & growth, however when because of various factors, mainly our inflated & unrealistic expectations, we keep getting dejection’s, then the body gets into an unnatural state of stress, which is very bad for health.
The way out of this situation is firstly to break the cycle, by any possible & available means, like outing, entertainment, meditation etc, but the real root is handling situations. Stress is basically the divide between what is and what should be, expectations & reality. While expectations are important for any work, but obviously we need to be realistic. Karma Yoga is that Art of Karma wherein we have our feet of ground and then take off for the skies.
In the end she conducted a short stress relieving Meditation.
