Short Vedanta Course

A ten days Short Vedanta Course was organized at Vedanta Ashram from 20th to 29th Aug 2017. It was an English language course and the main subject-matter of the discourses was Drg-Dryshya Viveka. Poojya Guruji Sri Swami Atmanandaji conducted the entire course and also conducted one Meditation Class.

Vedanta (Janmashtami) Camp, Indore 2017

A five days residential Vedanta (Janmashtami) Camp is being organized at the Vedanta Ashram, Sudama Nagar, Indore. The Camp will be of six days from 10th to 15th Aug 2017, and the conclusion will be with the celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami on the 15th Aug. On next day to Janmashtami i.e on 16th Aug a short trip to nearby place will be organized depending upon weather. Expenses for this trip will by contribution. One can leave by 17 th Aug as per convenience.

Camp Acharyas:

The pravachans will be conducted by Poojya Guruji Swami Atmanandaji and Poojya Swamini Amitanandaji. The Meditation and Chanting sessions will be by Poojya Swamini Samatanandaji, while the Puja sessions will be guided by Poojya Swamini Poornanandaji.

Who can apply:

Any healthy, sincere devotee who can live in the simple & austere atmosphere of an Ashram, without any complaints & problems, and wish to study Vedanta at the feet of traditional teachers can apply. The campers will have to stay inside the venue for all these six days. They will be given rooms with twin sharing. There are few rooms with attached bath/Lat, while others have common bath/lat facilities. No outing during the camp is allowed, and if at all there is some emergency they will take permission of the Acharyas to go out. After the camp, if weather permits, there may be a short yatra organized for everyone. Expenses for this trip will by contribution.

No outside food is permitted. The timings of food & tea is fixed, and the menu is simple & sattwic. Clean filtered water is available 24×7.

Campers should be ready to serve in whatever way necessary to help keep the place clean & quiet.

All campers will have to attend all the classes and should be punctual to be in the class few minutes before.

Campers will just have to bring their minimum necessary clothes and toiletries. Bedding will be provided by the Ashram.

Vedanta Camp Concludes

A six days Vedanta Camp was organized at Vedanta Ashram from 19th to 24th Feb. Devotees from Lucknow, Mumbai and Goa joined the Camp. The texts were Panchadasi Chapter 15, and Gita based 20 Values.

The day started with a Meditation session conducted by Swamini Samatanandaji. She discussed two kinds of Meditation. The Pratidhwani Japa Dhyana, and then Panchadasi based Dhyana. After this everyday some devotees did the Shiv-Puja underr tthe guidance of P. Swamini Poornanandaji, and then after tea there was the Chanting class in which chanting of Dakshinamurty Stotram was taught. After breakfast there was a marathon session of Panchadasi by Poojya Guruji. Then there was the discussion session in which everyone shared their perceptions on various important issues. Later everyone had lunch together. After some rest & tea there was the Gita Pravachans by Swamini Amitanandaji. Later after dinner there were lovely bhajans and Q&A session.

On the last day all the devotees shared their experiences of camp. It was great to see that everyone enjoyed their stay.

Vedanta Camp – Janmashtami 2016

The Vedanta Camp prior to Janmashtami this year was organized from 20th to 25th Aug 2016 at Vedanta Ashram, Indore. It was full house, and we had campers from Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Nagpur & Mumbai. The subject matter of the discourses were Panchadasi-Chapter-3 (Panchakosha Viveka) by Poojya Guruji and Three Gunas in Gita by P. Swamini Amitanandaji. Apart from these there were Meditation session, Chanting session, (conducted by P. Swamini Samatanandaji) Daily Puja (under the supervision of P. Swamini Poornanandaji), Bhajan, Discussion and Q&A.

In the Panchadasi class, the celebrated author took us from the five layers of our personality to the infinite Self – of the nature of Satyam Gyanam Anantam. In the Gita session was discussed the qualities of every guna discussed in various chapters of Gita. In the Meditation session that which was discussed in Panchadasi was tried to be seen & internalized.

Everyday there were lovely discussions. Some topic was presented to the campers – with two different options and they had to give their views. It was very lively & enlightening.

On the Janmashtami day the last session was the Guru Dakshina & Feedback session. Everyone was called upon to share their experiences, and it was great to see everyone thoroughly enjoying the whole camp.

Vedanta (MSR) Camp Concludes

The five days Vedanta Camp prior to Mahashivratri concluded on 7th Mar, the Mahashivratri day. Campers from Mumbai & Lucknow mainly joined the camp. The camp had discourses on Isavasyopanishad and Gita – Kamana Section. Apart from these there were sessions on Meditation, Chanting (of Kaivalyopanishad), Discussion, Puja & Bhajans. Everything went off very nicely and overall the camp was very satisfactory.

Mahashivratri (Vedanta) Camp – Mar 2016

A six days residential Mahashivratri (Vedanta) Camp is being organized at the Vedanta Ashram, Sudama Nagar, Indore. The Camp will be of five days from 3rd to 7th March 2016, and the conclusion will be with the celebration of Mahashivratri on the 8th March.

Vedanta (Janmashtami) Camp starts

The five days Vedanta (Janmashtami) Camp started on 31st Aug morning – with the Meditation class, conducted by Poojya Swamini Samatanandaji. Some devotee thereafter did the Rudrabhisheka – under the guidance of Poojya Swamini Poornanandaji. After a short Tea there was a chanting class by Swamini Samatanandaji.

After breakfast Poojya Guruji took a session of Panchadasi – Chapter 10 (Natakdeep Prakarana). Before lunch there was a discussion session – taken by Poojya Swamini Amitanandaji.

After lunch and some rest, there was a new program – Sanskrit Sambhashanam, taken by P.Swamini Amitanandaji. After tea she took a class of Gita based pravachan. The topic is ‘Avatara Rahashya’. In the evening everyone spent time in the Hall above, walking, jogging or playing Badminton. Later in the night there was the Bhajan session.

Vedanta (GP) Camp: July 2015

A five days Vedanta (Guru Poornima) Camp was organized at Vedanta Ashram, just before the Guru Poornima from 27th to 31st July 2015. Campers from Lucknow & Ahmedabad attended the program. The subject matter of the camp discourses was a very important & serious subject – it was a detailed elaboration of the famous mantra of Mundakopanishad, namely – Parikshya Lokan Karma chitan. Poojya Guruji gave nine discourses on the mantra in these five days. Apart from this Poojya Swamini Amitanandaji gave pravachans on Manisha Panchakam. P.Swamini Samatanandaji conducted classes on Meditation and chanting (of Dakshinamurthy Stotram), while P.Swamini Poornanandaji directed devotees in Puja and also managed the Kitchen very nicely.

Everyday there was a discussion session by Poojya Guruji or some other Swamiji, and later in the night a bhajan session in which various questions were also answered.

On the day day in the concluding Dakshina session, the campers shared their experiences – and it was a great joy to see that everyone goes back highly inspired.

On 31st the Guru Pornima day, devotees thronged the Ashram to pay their respects to their teacher. There was puja, pravachan & finally the bhandara.
